PPP committed mistake by making MQM its coalition partner: JI

29 Aug, 2011

General Secretary Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has said Pakistan People's Party committed a gross mistake by making Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) as its coalition partner at centre and in Sindh province as MQM's credentials of being as a terrorist party were known to the nation.
Talking to Business Recorder after PPP leader Zulfiqar Mirza press conference, the JI leader said since MQM had been hatching a conspiracy with the help of some global powers to break the port city of Karachi away from the country, President Asif Ali Zardari was equally responsible for the allegations as he went out of the way to make alliance with MQM.
He said that Zulfiqar Mirza's disclosures and allegations levelled against MQM were not new as MQM has been involved in murders and terrorist activities. However, he said that time had come to fully investigate the charges against MQM.
