Peace during Eid: Faisalabad authorities chalk out plan

The district administration has chalked out a comprehensive administrative plan for smooth and peaceful observance of Eid and tackling any possible emergency situation on this occasion. Giving details of the plan, DCO, Naseem Sadiq informed that officers of city district government have been assigned duties to co-ordinate the arrangements.
He said that different officers have been deputed at the emergency wards of DHQ, Allied and General Hospitals to monitor the emergency services in case of any eventuality on the occasion.
He further said that the staff of Rescue 1122 has been put on high alert and various points would be set up at the important places in the city for the prompt rescue operations. He said that officers of the TMAs have been asked to remove the all kinds of obstacles' near the sites of main congregations of Eid-ul-Fitr besides removal of wall chalking, objectionable posters and banners. Municipal Services departments have also been directed for deputing the special sanitary gangs for the cleanliness sites of Eid congregations and public parks, he added.
The DCO said that Wasa officers has also been directed to detail sewerage staff during the Eid days in different shifts for ensuring the smooth of sewerage system and redressing public complaints. He further said that the security of Eid congregations would also be supervised and civil defence volunteers would be deputed on the vulnerable points with all the required security gadgets.
The ACs of the district have been directed to present in their respective tehsils and keep close liaison with the law enforcing agencies, numberdars, members of tehsil committees and health department functionaries. He vowed that the administrative plan would be implemented in letter and spirit.
