Flood-affected people: millions of rupees distributed

Ummah Welfare Trust (UWT) has distributed Eid package worth seven million rupees among the poor and flood affected people of the country.
According to a press statement issued here on Sunday by UWF media centre, the trust has distributed Eid Package and amount of Fitrana worth seven million rupees among 15,000 poor and flood-affected families of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh, Kashmir and Afghanistan. The package comprised flour, ghee, clothes, shoes, toys, juice, biscuits etc.
Muhammad Idrees, chairman of UWF on the occasion stressed the need for maximum aid and assistance to the flood affected and needy people on the special religious festival "Eid-ul-Fitr". He added that his organisation is engaged to extend assistance and aid to poor people in their time testing situation across the globe for the last 10 years.
