Two killed, one injured; 11 gamblers arrested

Two persons have been killed and another injured over petty issues in two separate incidents on Saturday, police said. According to the police, two unknown outlaws entered the house of Muzaffar Din and opened fire on the inmates. One Hafiz Muhammad Akhtar was hit by a bullet and died instantly while his relative Anees was wounded.
The owner of the house Muzaffar Din lodged complaint with the police who registered a case against the unknown accused. In another incident, which occurred within the jurisdiction of Gomal University Police Station, one Riaz Hussain was on way back home when a speedy motorcyclist hit him, injuring him critically. He was shifted to nearby hospital where he died.
Meanwhile, the police have launched a campaign against the criminals in the jurisdiction of Barak police station. The police have recovered 320 grams of Charas, one Kalashnikov and 23 cartridges. In another campaign police have arrested 11 gamblers and Rs 25,600 at stake.
