Afzal Guru: Mirwaiz warns against backlash

04 Sep, 2011

Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that the protests will erupt in Indian held Kashmir if Muhammad Afzal Guru is hanged in the fake parliament attack case.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in a media interview in Occupied Srinagar, said that the execution of Afzal Guru would be disastrous as there is a strong sentiment in the occupied territory against it, both in the way his case was handled and how it was politicised, KMS reported on Saturday.
He revealed that Indian government and its puppet administration in occupied Kashmir are not allowing them to hold peaceful protest for their genuine demand. He said Indian troops and police personnel are using brute force against peaceful demonstrators in the territory. To a query, All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) chairman said, "We can always ask Anna to come to occupied Kashmir and raise his voice against human rights violations in the occupied territory."
