National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa decided to hear public complaints against corruption, forgery and fraud in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. For this purpose, the anti-graft agency will send officers to all the major cities of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to directly listen to public complaints against corruption, forgery and fraud.
The initiative has been taken to address people's complaints against corruption. Moreover, the NAB has also installed sealed boxes at the offices of the District Coordination Officers (DCOs) in the province where people could directly submit their complaints. The NAB officers would visit Dera Ismail Khan on September 7-8 for listening to the complaints followed by Bannu September 9-10, Kohat September 10, Mardan September 15-16, Chitral September 17-18-19-20, Abbotabad and Haripur September 22-23.
The people could lodge complaints against the government officials in matters relating to misuse of powers, inflicting losses to government's exchequers, bank fraud, use of sub-standard materials in government projects, tax evasion, accumulation of wealth through illegal means by the government employees, transfer of state lands through corrupt practices, illegal appointments in government institutions, and travelling agents involved in depriving the pilgrims of their hard earned money.
