September 11 anniversary: Jammat-e-Islami to protest against American terrorism

The 10th anniversary of September 11th events to be marked in the US but the Jammat-e-Islami to highlight American terrorism and aggression by organising various events in the city. Addressing a press conference on Thursday at Lahore Press Club, Lahore Chapter Ameer said America is the real supporter of terrorism around the world and is involved in state terrorism in many countries.
He said the world has not yet forgot the horrible killing of Japanese people when bombs were dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. America has also killed thousands of people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam and other parts of the world. He said Jamaat-e-Islami's 'Go America Go' campaign is the voice of entire humanity. He said that they would enlarge the campaign and impress the masses to join their hands against the conspiracies of America.
He announced that his party would hold a protest rally on 11 September from Masjid-e-Shuhda to Punjab Assembly. On 16 September, the activists of Jamaat-e-Islami's would hold protest rally for the release of Dr Afia Siddiqi.
He said that one of the most important events is a sit-in on October 2nd at the New Campus Bridge. The JI would also launch a campaign against American terrorism in the city in which competitions such as columns, poetry and cartoons will be held and those who perform well would be awarded cash prizes of 10,000 in each contest. Former MNA Hafiz Salman Butt and Malik Shahid Aslam were also present on the occasion.
