A Pakistani family of a convict in drug related case in China on Friday appealed to the authorities there to commute his death sentence into life imprisonment on humanitarian grounds. Addressing a press conference, the convict's father, Zarghoon Shah and Tasneem Fatima, a relative, claimed that Zahid Hussain was not found directly involved in the drug trafficking case or selling of the contraband.
Zahid Hussain was found guilty by a Chinese court of drug trafficking offence and was awarded the Capital punishment. He would be hanged on September 21.
