Rain emergency: Japan to provide relief goods worth $450,000

The Government of Japan decided on Friday to provide emergency relief goods such as tents, water purification equipment, etc, equivalent to approximately 35 million Japanese yen (approximately US $450,000/- Pak. Rs 37.5 million) in total to the Government of Pakistan through Japan International Co-operation Agency (Jica).
Pakistan has sustained serious damage caused by the recent torrential rains that brought large casualties and lost of properties in Sindh Province. Government of Japan has decided to extend the aid from a humanitarian point of view, and in light of the friendly relationship between the two countries, taking account of the scale of the disaster.-PR
