Capital Police apprehended 13 accused for their alleged involvement in different crimes including possessing of illegal arms, drug pushing, bootlegging and other crimes in different operations carried out in federal capital and recovered five pistols, three 12-bore guns, 47 bottles of liquor and one-kg Charas from their possession.
Islamabad Police geared up its efforts against the criminals to bring the crime under control and conducted operations in different areas. A special team of Nilor Police led by Station House Officer Asjad Altaf conducted operations in different areas and arrested seven accused namely Touqeer Ahmed, Zeeshan Ahmed, Adeel Akbar, Azhar Mahmood, Khawar Ayub, Amir Iqbal and Qasim Rashid, recovering five pistols, two 12-bore guns and huge quantity of ammunition from the detained accused, the spokesman said.
Golra Police during routine patrolling stopped two persons at Jhangi Syedda and during search police recovered one 12-bore gun and a pistol along with 30 rounds from their possessions. Bhara Kahu Police during routine checking stopped a person, Liaqat Ali, from whom one 30-bore pistol was recovered.
Industrial Area Police arrested a bootlegger identified as Shahbaz Gul and recovered 24 bottles of liquor from his possession. Sabzi Mandi Police arrested two accused namely Khurram Khurshid and Bakhtiar and recovered three bottles of liquor and one-kg charas from them.Shahzad Town Police arrested an accused Shoukat Mahmood and recovered 20 bottles of wine from him.
