Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif said to steer the country of ongoing crisis all political parties must sit together and devise a joint agenda.
Talking to media at the residence of PML-N leader Dr Raheela Gul Magsi here on Sunday, he said all stakeholders including religious parties should sit together and chalk out joint national agenda about who to deal with the prevailing crisis. He who had harmed the country in any way must be punished.
He said a country that has become an atomic power could also become an economic power. He said the privatisations of 32 big industries in the year 1972 by the then Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was the biggest blow ever dealt to the economy of this country. He said Dr Mubashir Hassan was behind this imprudent decision, which was strongly opposed by J A Raheem and other leaders. He said had the then government not privatised industries today Pakistan would have become an Asian tiger.
He said every child in Pakistan knows the ideology of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and those opposing this ideology should tell the nation what their own ideology is. He said the present Pakistan is not according to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He said if the country had run under the guiding principles of Quaid-e-Azam there would have been no reason why it could not have attained development.
