Realizing the significance of artificial intelligence (AI) in future, China is planning to construct a technology park for totally focusing on and developing AI.
A Chinese news agency Xinhua reported that the $2.1 billion (13.8 billion yuan) park will be established in Beijing within five years and will cover around 54.87 hectares of land. The park will provide home to 400 businesses and will expectedly generate yearly output value of around $7.7 billion (50 billion yuan).
The technology park would include high-speed big data, cloud computing, biometrics and deep-learning (a part of AI). The park will also incorporate 5G mobile internet, cloud services and a super computer. As per CNBC, China wants to make a major breakthrough in the AI field by 2025.

As per Xinhua, the AI-focused park will be developed by Zhongguancun Development Group that will look for partnerships with Chinese and overseas students, large enterprises and research institutes for setting up numerous research hubs in the park, which will include a ‘national-level’ AI lab.
With other companies working on AI development too, China is working on numerous AI projects simultaneously that includes humanoid robots, AI police station and more. Futurism reported that the country’s AI development plans puts it as, “The rapid development of artificial intelligence will profoundly change the social life of mankind and change the world.”
