Free motorbike ambulance service launched

FAISALABAD: Free motorbike ambulance service of Rescue 1122 was launched here on Monday.

Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sana-Ullah Khan inaugurated the service at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium of Faisalabad Arts Council (FAC).

Director General Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Dr Rizwan Naseer, State Minister for Textile Haji Akram Ansari, MNA Khalida Mansoor, Provincial Parliamentary Secretary Chaudhry Faqeer Hussain Dogar, MPA Dr Najma Afzal, MPA Haji Khalid Saeed, Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani, Vice Chancellor University of Agriculture Faisalabad Dr Iqbal Zafar and others were also present on the occasion.

Briefing the inaugural ceremony, Rescue 1122 officials said that motorbike ambulance service had so far been launched in 9 divisional headquarters of the Punjab including Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Rawalpindi.

Initially, each division has been provided 100 motorbikes for ambulance service whereas the number of bikes would be enhanced according to needs.
