Provincial Minister for Education Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman said that the objective of dengue awareness campaign is to ensure maximum public participation in dengue eradication campaign. He was talking to the people gathered around him during anti-dengue drive here at Lahore on Sunday.
He went door to door to distribute pamphlets and leaflets in the U-C 24 and 26 of his constituency. During the campaign at Chowk Nakhuda, Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman he sprayed in different buildings and houses himself.
At the end of the campaign the minister while addressing the workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has said that the government is very much active against dengue and from today under the able leadership of Chief Minister Punjab, a campaign "Qadam Bharao Dengue Mukao" has been launched. He said that public participation from all walks of life was the only solution to eradicate this virus. Chief Minister Punjab like a real and true leader is leading from the front, he added. He said that with the help of Almighty Allah, sincere efforts by the government and with the co-operation of general masses we would be able to control this menace very soon. He appreciated the role of media in sensitising the people about dengue virus.
