Samsung Galaxy S9 is one of the much awaited smartphones and after many rumors regarding the phone’s launch date and specs, Samsung has officially given the launch date of the phone.

It was expected that the smartphone will make its debut at the Consumer Electronics Show this year but unfortunately it didn’t. However, Samsung did announce the reveal date of the phone at the CES 2018. The phone will officially be launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) happening in February 2018.

Samsung mobile chief DJ Koh confirmed at CES that the phone will come out a bit earlier than usual during next month and the exact release date will be provided in the upcoming days of the CES 2018. The sales of the smartphone will probably start in March, reported Phone Arena.

Galaxy S9 likely to have on-screen fingerprint sensor feature

As the rumors suggest, Samsung galaxy S9 will probably have 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display and will feature the latest chipsets. Also, it would be the world’s first smartphone to feature 512GB internal memory.

Furthermore, Koh also declared that Samsung is planning to launch its foldable phone by next year. He informed that Samsung’s virtual assistant Bixby 2.0 will be launched within 2018 and that all Samsung’s devices will be apple to support it by 2020, wrote ZDNet.

While comparing to other tech companies and their interest in introducing AI in phones, Koh expressed, “Many companies have AI competence, but not many have hardware competence. We started a little later [than others] but we are confident in offering the best experience for consumers.”
