Famous singer and chairman of Sahara for Life Trust Abrar-ul-Haq has announced 'Save Pakistan Rally' from Nasir Bagh to Data Darbar on October 27 and appealed to the people here to participate in the rally irrespective of their party affiliation.
While addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club here Friday Abrar said that people should participate in this "non-political rally". He said that thousands of members of Youth Parliament of Pakistan will attend the rally. He said government should announce a clear cut policy and roadmap to solve the problems like energy crisis, unemployment, law and order and inform the people after every six months on the progress of the plan. He said governments duty was to provide equal opportunities for employment to all people. He also said that there is a need of strong planning to control food shortage in the country due to expected water shortage.
While criticising the corruption of the rulers, Abrar said that why our rulers don't learn the lessons from the dictators like Qaddafi and Saddam Hussain whose billions of dollars don't save them from peoples reaction. He said that no political party has the roadmap or manifesto for the solution of the problems of masses. He appealed the people to think above the clan, cast or creed and vote for the honest people and reject dishonest and corrupt people.
