PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has said that corruption and plundering have shaken the foundations of Zardari-led government and the people will give a last punch to this government on October 28. Addressing party workers and supporters in 'Go, Zardari Go' public meetings and protest camps at different areas of Lahore, Hamza said that people would have to take to streets for getting rid of President Zardari.
He said: "Custodian of the national exchequer has engaged in its plundering. When a watchman becomes a thief, then who will protect the house?" He said that President Zardari is involved in looting the national exchequer and filling his Swiss accounts. He asked Prime Minister Gilani that when a convicted person is appointed as head of Sui gas department, what would he do except looting the national exchequer? He said that destiny of the country can only be changed by appointing honest people in the institutions instead of corrupt persons.
Hamza said that last year when Pakistanis faced floods, President Zardari, without caring for flood devastation, went to France on a trip. This year also flood has caused heavy losses to Sindhi brethren but no one except Nawaz Sharif came to their help.
He said the PML-N rally, to be taken out on October 28 from Nasir Bagh, would prove that Lahore belongs to Nawaz Sharif and not to any intruder. He said that the people of Pakistan, particularly Lahorites, have full confidence in the leadership of Nawaz. "That is why heirs of those who died due to dengue have no complaint against Punjab chief minister as the steps taken by him for ridding the people of this virus are matchless".
PML-N leader Muhammad Nauman said that October 28 rally against load shedding of electricity and Sui gas, corruption, unemployment, price hike and plundering of national assets would prove that entire public is bent upon ridding the country of PPP-led government, which has put the country at a stake.
He announced to set up a reception camp at Ferozepur Road, Ichrra Morr. He asked the party workers to keep close liaison with the people and mobilise them to participate in the rally so that the rally is proved as the last nail in the coffin of PPP-led government.
Nauman said that 'Go, Zardari Go' was the voice of people's hearts and only guidance was needed to direct them towards the right path. He said that the country was not in a position to afford unwise and visionless policies of the PPP-led federal government.
