Judicial system: plea to take steps for brining improvement

Head of right organisation, "Mazloom Ki Awaz", Mohammad Siddiq Qureshi Advocate has appealed the Chief Justice of Supreme Court, Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry to take proactive steps for brining improvement in the existing judicial system and called for establishment of recording and close-circuit camera system to remove filing of fake and wrong cases in the courts.
Addressing at a news conference here at Peshawar Press Club (PPC) on Monday, he said that the common man was unable to get justice under the prevailing judicial system, which is a biggest flaw in the system. He added that the involvement of certain judges and lawyers in corruption was the basic factor of lacking of access to justice for ordinary people.
He urged the Supreme Court to take notice against those lawyers have been expelled due to corruption charges. He accused that the few corrupt judges were violating the rules and sanctity of their position, saying that the judicial system is weakening because of appointment of incompetent people as judge and non-professional become a lawyer.
He informed the people who were expelled due to corruption accusations, had aimed to defame the most respectable profession of law. He said the existing judicial system has demoralised the competent, honest, modest and professional lawyers.
Siddiq Qureshi said that the injustice and torment is growing due to few corrupt and incompetent judges and lawyers. Importantly, he said the judicial system has limited in theoretical shape instead of executing with real sense. He said if the recording and camera system would establish in court, then all things will be crystal and clear.
