Woman killed in van-rickshaw collision

A woman on Monday lost her life while four others injured when a private van rammed into a rickshaw in the limits of Ferozabad police station. According to police, a private van (JE-6855) collided with a rickshaw (DAA-003) at Shaheed-e-Millat road, Baloch colony, leaving 36-year-old Salma wife of Aziz killed while four others, including her daughter Maria, 5, her brother Razaq, 25, a relative Marium, 50 and a rickshaw driver Iqbal injured.
They said the police have arrested driver Ashique Ali and registered a case (714/11) against him on the complaint of Razaq. They said the victim Salma, who was the resident of Korangi 1 1/2 was on the way to home after meeting her relatives. In another case, a 40-year-old Sohail son of Farooq killed in the limits of Jamsheed Qaurter police station. The incident took place at Martin Qaurter where Sohail hung himself at ceiling with the help of ropes. Police said the victim, who was drug-addict, hanged himself when his family refused to provide cash to fulfil the said habit. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi and later it was handed over to his heirs.
Yet another man was crushed to death in the limits of Jackson police station. A 25-year-old man namely Shahnawaz son of Akhtar Nawaz was killed when he collided his bike (KDE-4149) with a parked loaded truck (JT-1984) at Sultanabad. The victim's body shifted to CHK. They said the deceased was the resident of Gul Bai Shersha.
