MQM, PTI, PML-Q gang up against PML-N: Rashid

30 Oct, 2011

Spokesman of PML-N Senator Pervaiz Rashid said foreign assistance to Imran Khan, maybe, well is backfired as it has only helped to expose the true face of a leader deriving its main strength from foreign sources. Rashid further said that besides Pakistan Peoples Party, the MQM, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and PML-Q and other erstwhile supporters of Pervez Musharraf have ganged up against PML-N.
The PML-N said that on the occasion of Lahore meeting team of foreigners has arrived to support and assist PTI. Let it be understood that proud and politically conscious people of Pakistan were fully aware of this ongoing exercise directed against "made-for- motherland" leadership by the "made-for-foreign-land" exercise by outside elements. While a demonstration at Islamabad against the drones may be in order, it is pertinent to ask these foreign supporters why are they avoiding such demonstrations against blatant drone attacks back home, from where they are planned and originated.
On different fronts and under varying identities, they are all active to pursue a single target, which was not a mere coincident. The conscious and fully aware people of Pakistan clearly see through this dubious game. He said that again it was not a coincident that the tone and thrust of this wilful campaign against the Sharif brothers by Babar Awan and monologue of Imran has close resemblance.
It was ironical that in the past the originator was Musharraf and now this role has been passed on to the new visualising director-Zardari. Both of these are clamouring to get control of Lahore but are ignoring the fact that Sharif brothers and PML (N) live in the hearts of people of Lahore, Punjab and Pakistan at large, he added. The historic rally of October 28 was a true symbol of this love and affection of the people of Lahore. He said the loyalists of Musharraf in the past turned servants of Zardari, are however clearly restless.
One of them in Karachi and the other in Lahore are out to target PML-N and its leadership. MQM has come out openly as an ally of Zardari and Imran Khan, in the garb of opposition is playing the same tune of Zardari to attack the major opposition party of Pakistan, he concluded.
