Strategy adopted to eradicate dengue: Shahbaz

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said a solid strategy has been adopted for curbing dengue virus on permanent basis in the province. He was presiding over a meeting held to review measures against dengue virus Saturday. Members National and Provincial Assembly, Chief Secretary, secretaries of various departments, experts and members of Sri Lankan medical team were also present.
He said tireless efforts of elected representatives, officers and experts had helped in meeting the challenge of dengue virus in an effective manner. He said that besides doctors, nurses, officers and officials of the concerned departments taking part in the campaign regarding eradication of dengue virus. Earlier, chairmen of town committees, Chief Secretary, Commissioner and DCO Lahore informed about the details of measures taken for eradication of the dengue virus.
