Emergency Medicine: CPSP, Ireland to start five-year fellowship

The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) in collaboration with Ireland is starting five-year fellowship in the field of Emergency Medicine. This was stated by CPSP Vice-President Professor Khalid Masood Gondal in a meeting with 8-member Irish delegation led by Professor Gerald Bury visited CPSP on Saturday.
Professor Gondal said that consultants would be made available in emergency and patients to be cured in more facilitating ways due to this five-year fellowship of the CPSP. He said that under the supervision of CPSP Professor Zafarullah Chaudhry, CPSP Council had started master degree programme in medical education.
"By virtue of this degree, all the hospital across the country can have the specialist doctors in the Emergency Department," he added. He gave a comprehensive presentation on the effective role of CPSP in providing medical education in the country and abroad. Later, the delegation interacted with participants of ongoing training courses at CPSP.
