PML-N failed to attract people to rally: MQM

30 Oct, 2011

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), zonal in charge Lahore, Shaheen Anwar Gilani, has said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) failed to attract massive gathering in its rally. Talking to APP here on Saturday, he said most of people attended the rally were employees of the Punjab or local government and expenditures of the rally were shouldered with public money.
He said the PML-N should not use national resources to achieve political ends, as these were supposed to be used for public welfare. He said language used by Shahbaz Sharif in his speech against democratically elected head of the state was lamentable. Gilani said there was no political, democratic, constitutional and pro public agenda of the so called rally in Lahore but the only reason behind that was to confuse the public.
