Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has potential for sustainable economic growth: Hoti

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti has said that the ANP government has the potential to lead the province towards sustainable economic development. Saying durable peace and security are key to determine the future of the whole region.
He was talking to Mashallah Shakiri, Ambassador Islamic Republic of Iran, Choong Joo Choi, Ambassador of Republic of Korea, Rachid Ben Massaoud, Country Director World Bank at Pakistan, Ms Alison Blake, the newly Deputy High Commissioner at British High Commission, at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House Islamabad on Tuesday.
The chief minister said that the neighbouring countries should reduce trust deficit and narrow down their differences to ensure a proper security cover to the entire region. He said that they have all the potentials for the overall prosperity and unshakeable stability in the region. However, all the stakeholders should work together to achieve the desire end.
He said that the most appropriate step of the neighbouring countries would be to be part of the solution. We should not loose the sight of future challenges in the region and the whole nations in the region should sit together and evolve a mechanism to find out solution to their problems. The government, he said, is ready to be an agent of peace and development in the entire region and the international community should take our arguments seriously. He said that they consider Iran to be our brother Islamic country sharing common grounds, common traditions and believers of one religion, therefore, we should have a clear vision for the peace in the region.
