Law enforcement agencies on Tuesday nabbed five criminals during raids in different areas of city and recovered arms from their possession. Police sources said that in joint operation conducted by police and Rangers in sector 4-D Sarjani Town and rounded up Raheel alias Bhoora after a brief encounter and recovered two Kalashnikovs and TT pistol from his possession.
They said that Raheel was involved in 12 cases of target killing, including his two accomplices Naseer and Wajahat. During the initial course of investigation, accused has made confession of killings in Orangi Town. Police said he was also the member of land mafia Jamal group and have association from political party.
Police registered FIR No 594/11 against him besides further investigation is underway. Gulberg police claimed to have arrested three people involved in target killings including police cop after brief encounter in Tahir Villa in the limits of Gulberg police station.
Police on tiff-off that three bandits were looting valuable from passers-by, when police reached on spot they opened fire which led the police party to retaliate. After the exchange of fire police arrested Kashif Raza, Ashfaq Shah and Ghulam Sarwar Lashari.
Police also recovered three TT pistols and other stuff from their possession. Police said Kashif Raza was a police cop and he was deployed in Sindh Reserve Police base II. Separately Saeedabad police arrested a bandit after an encounter in Gulshan Mazdoor, Baldia. Police said two bandits were looting from passer-by in Gulshan Mazdoor adjacent to Sharja Hotel, when police intercepted them and after trade of firing police arrested Arshad Balouch while his accomplice managed to escape from the scene.
