LEAs arrest 12 suspects during raids

Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) on Wednesday claimed to have detained 14 suspects in separate raids in different areas of the metropolis. According to police sources, the LEAs conducted raids in Qasba Colony, sector 2 1/2 and arrested four suspects, who were later shifted to unknown place for interrogation. Sources said the raid was conducted on the information of a person who was arrested from Kati Pahari.
Similarly, heavy contingent of police and rangers cordoned off Manghopir, Kunwari Colony and Pak Colony and detained 10 suspects during door-to-door search and recovered weapons from them. The detained suspects were later moved to unknown place for interrogation. Sources said the Pak Colony raid was conducted on a tipoff that revealed that Anwar Khojak, a close aide of slain Rehman Dakait was hiding in the area. However, Anwar managed to flee during the search operation. When contacted, officials did not confirm any arrest during the search operation.
