US MIDDAY: corn eases, soya up

03 Nov, 2011

US corn eased nearly 1 percent on Wednesday following a forecast for a larger-than-expected US corn crop while soyabeans held firm, reversing three days of declines as the dollar weakened. Wheat also turned weak in choppy dealings amid global economic uncertainty.
At 11:36 am CDT (1636 GMT), CBOT January soyabeans were up 2-1/2 cents per bushel at $12.05 per bushel, December corn down 5-1/4 at $6.49 and December wheat down 5 at $6.25.
