Police in Hong Kong Sunday offered a reward of more than 38,000 US dollars for a suspected killer who has been on the run for 23 years. The reward has been put up to try to trace a former school labourer believed to have killed a co-worker and dumped him in a septic tank in May 1988.
Cheung Kit, who was 38 at the time of the killing, has been on the run since and would now be 61 years old, a police spokesman said. The case is the oldest of several in which Hong Kong police are offering rewards to clear up unsolved crimes.
