Nowadays it seems like it is the wedding season for Bollywood film fraternity as after Anushka Sharma, most talked about marriages are of Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja.

There has been a strong buzz doing the rounds that Sonam will — in all probability — tie the knot with rumoured boyfriend Anand this year. The actress has, however, maintained stoic silence on the issue. However, while promoting her upcoming movie ‘PadMan’ co-star Akshay Kumar decided to put her in a tight spot when he asked her, “Are you getting married this year?”.

Although she laughed over his question, but later in an interview she said, “Why are actresses asked more about their personal lives? Is anyone asking Ranbir Kapoor or Ranveer Singh when they are getting married?,” Mid-Day reported.

Without mentioning Anand's name, Sonam said people should respect their privacy. “Nobody has the right to access my personal life. This one part has to be in my control. I am ready to talk about me, but there is another person involved here and I need to respect him,” she added. Clearly, the ‘Neerja’ actress didn’t accept nor deny the speculations.

On work front, her upcoming film ‘PadMan’ deals with the topic of menstruation. Co-starring Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte, the film releases on January 25, along with Deepika's ‘Padmaavat’.
