Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim Hussain called on Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov here on Monday. The Turkmen President is on a state visit to Pakistan and earlier the governments of Pakistan and Turkmenistan had initiated the Gas Sale Purchase Agreement (GSPA) for the proposed Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline.
Turkmenistan would provide 3.2 billion cubic feet of Natural Gas per day from the South Yolotan/Osman and adjacent gas fields through a pipeline. The Federal Minister apprised the Turkmen President of Pakistan's view point on base price, transportation tariff, transit variability and risk sharing. Secretary Petroleum Muhammad Ejaz Chaudhry was also present on the occasion.-PR
