Another person loses life to dengue virus

Another person lost his life due to dengue virus in Faisalabad, raising the death toll in Punjab to 330 including 284 in Lahore. According to a report released by the health department Punjab, no death was reported in Lahore during the last 24 hours. As many as 50 confirmed dengue patients have been reported in Punjab out of whom 13 belong to Lahore.
The total number of dengue patients in the province has reached 21,075, out of whom 17,343 belong to Lahore. At present 209 patients are under treatment in different hospitals of Punjab out of them, 163 are admitted in different hospitals of Lahore, it added.
It said that about 80 dengue patients have been cured and discharged from Teaching and District Headquarters Hospitals of Lahore during the last 24 hours which includes 20 patients from Mayo Hospital, 16 from Services, six from Jinnah, 20 from Sir Ganga Ram, five from Lahore General, five from Children, four from Kot Khawaja Saeed, three from Said Mitha and one patient from Mian Munshi Hospital. According to the report, so far, 20,745 dengue patients have been cured and discharged from different hospitals in Punjab and out of them, 17,330 patients belonged to Lahore.
