Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah presided over a meeting of revenue department here at Chief Minister's House on Tuesday, which reviewed the over all performance of revenue department. Speaking on the occasion, the CM directed the officers/officials to have watch on activities of encroachers and land grabbers, and in case of any violation, prompt action to be taken against those land grabbers.
Qaim directed that anti-encroachment staff be used to get the illegal occupation, encroachments, if any, removed under law. He further directed that if there is any case lying pending, should be decided on merit and under government rules. He also directed that revenue department Sindh should evolve strategy to protect the government lands, while issues pertaining to co-operative societies be settled accordingly. He appreciated the role of relief department during recent heavy rains in resolving the problems of affected people.
Earlier, senior member (BOR) Sindh Shahzar Shamoon presented briefing about activities, working and functioning of Revenue Department. The meeting was also attended by Commissioner Karachi Roshan Ali Shaikh, Deputy Commissioners of Karachi, Member (LU) BOR Sindh and others.-PR
