Students of Agricultural University, Peshawar suffered on Wednesday due to teachers' strike, who boycotted classes against the administration for not meeting their demands. The students had to returned homes without attending classes. The university teachers gathered outside the administration block near vice chancellor office to register their protest against the unfair attitude of the administration with them.
The protest rally was headed by Agricultural University Teachers Association (AUTA), President Dr Fida Mohamamd along with other officer bearers of the association.
The protesting teachers were holding placards and banners inscribed with different slogans in favour of their demands. Addressing the demonstration, Dr Fida Mohammand criticised the university administration for using delaying tactics in filling vacant cadres posts of teachers, saying that the posts were laying vacant in different departments of the university for long time.
