"Business with Service to Humanity" is the hallmark of Chiniot Sheikh Community and it would continue for ever, said S. M. Muneer President India-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IPCCI). He was addressing a function after inaugurating Chiniot Diabetic Center of Excellence and Renovated Dialysis center in Jinnah Colony here Wednesday.
He said that our elders have established a large number of schools and hospitals along with other welfare projects, which are successfully working across the country. "These institutions are providing best services to the all segments of society without any discrimination", he said and added that Chiniot community was committed to continue these services for a prosperous Pakistan.
Mukhtar Ahmed Sheikh convenor Chiniot Blood Bank and dialysis Center said that Diabetic Center of Excellence has been created to contain this silent killer disease, which was growing at a much faster pace. He said that latest and innovative techniques would be used in this center for the diagnoses and treatment of diabetic patients.
In this connection as many as eleven specialists including cardiologist, nephrologists, dermatologists, gynaecologists and surgeons etc have been arranged under one roof to examine, discus and fix the doses of medicines coupled with necessary recommendations to bring about a qualitative improvement in the life style of diabetic patients.
It would help the chronic patients to spend a normal and longer life without becoming a burden on their families, he added. Continuing Mukhtar said that these facilities would be extended free of cost to the needy and hard pressed patients, while a nominal fee would be charged form the affording patients.
Regarding renovated and refurbished dialysis center, he said that most of the old dialysis machines have been replaced with new ones. There are ten machines, out of which nine are being used while one is kept as standby and it would used in case of any emergency, he added. He said that these dialysis machines have been donated by the elders of Chiniot Community, which are now giving new life to the kidney patients.
