Three panels formed to resolve KFHA issues

Karachi Fish Harbour Authority (KFHA) on Thursday constituted three committees for the better working of harbour and resolving various issues. The KFHA board of directors had formed these committees in its 15th meeting held under the chairmanship of Minister for Fisheries Sindh Zahid Ali Bhurgari, said the notification
The first committee would examine the disputed cases of estate. The committee comprising MD KFHA as convenor with members including DG Marine Fish Department, Director (R&D) Sindh Fisheries Department, Anwar ul Islam (Retd) KPT Officer, Haqdad Khan, representative of Fish Processing Industry, Muhammad Qasim Niazi, President Sindh Trawlers Owners & Fishermen Association, Habibullah Khan Niazi. "The committee can co-opt any member of the department for technical assistance. The committee shall furnish their recommendation within 15 days for further approval of the Board of Directors, KFHA," the notification says.
The second committee is assigned to examine the proposed master plan of Karachi Fish Harbour. MD KFHA is its convenor and members are DG Marine Fish Department, Member of Advisory Committee Fishermen's Co-operative Society, Moezuddin Mughal, Baba Island Bonafide Fishermen, Dr Muhammad Yousuf, and President Sindh Trawlers Owners & Fishermen Association, Habibullah Khan Niazi.
"Engr. Shuneed Ahmed Memon, Director Engineering KFHA will be the co-opted member of the committee. The third committee would examine the outstanding dues including electricity charges payable by the FCSL to the KFHA, cases of sub-lettees and cleanliness of the Red Zone being managed by the Fishermen Co-operative Society. DG, Sindh Fisheries Department will be the committee convenor with members Director (R&D) Sindh Fisheries Department, Anwar ul Islam (Retd) KPT Officer, Haqdad Khan, Member of Advisory Committee Fishermen's Co-operative Society, Moezuddin Mughal, Member of Advisory Committee Fishermen's Co-operative Society Shafi Khaskheli, and Member of Advisory Committee Fishermen's Co-operative Society Muhammd Younus.
