At-least five people were killed during separate violent incidents in the metropolitan on Thursday, police and rescue services said. Sharafi Goth police found three bodies from vacant land near Millat Pump Station. Police said deceased were identified as Sohail 30, Ramesh 32, and Danish, 31. Police also recovered a repeater, nine pistols, and two vine bottles from the scene.
Police also recovered six empty shells of pistol from the scene. A police official said the deceased Sohail was the resident of Old Golimar, and supervisor and caretaker of the plot, while Danish and Ramesh also used to work at plot as watchman. Police suspected that victim's accomplices might be involved in the murders. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities and later handed over their heirs.
No case was registered till filing the report. A grocery owner was shot dead while his friend sustained injuries in Korangi in the jurisdiction of Zaman Town police station. The incident took place at New Quetta Hotel Korangi when the deceased Jhanzaib Ali, 27, son of Muhammad Ali, was taking tea along-with his friend namely Tanveer, 30, where unidentified pillion riders arrived and open indiscriminate firing on them. As a result Jhanzaib died on spot while Tanveer received bullet in his leg.
SHO Hatim Marwat said that victim was the resident of same area where the incident took place, adding that victim used to run a general store. Officer said victim hailed from Mianwali Punjab and might be personal enmity is motive behind the incident. The body and injured were rushed to JPMC for medico legal formalities and medical treatment.
No case was registered till filing the report. A father of five was killed at Eido Goth Bhains colony within the limits of Khokhrapar police station. Police said that the victim Abdul Karim Katchi 52, son of Muhammad Essa, resident of Bhains Colony, was taking tea at a shop where armed men emerged and opened indiscriminate firing at him, resultantly he sustained injuries and died. The body was shifted to JPMC and later handed over to the family.
