IGP directed to submit security plan for courts

Chief Justice Lahore High Court on Friday hearing a case against four murders in the premises of Rawalpindi district courts, directed Punjab Inspector General of Police to submit a comprehensive security plan for all courts in the province till November 29.
Earlier, the chief justice asked the IGP if police was unable to protect the lives of citizens, the court would give the responsibility to some other institution. IGP Javed Iqbal undertook to ensure security of courts and visitors. Rawalpindi CPO also appeared and presented investigation report of the incident. Former Chief Justice LHC Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry had taken the suo motu notice on the incident wherein four persons were killed in the premises of Rawalpindi district courts.
