Two ships, MV Hyderabad carrying 50,000MT urea and MV Pollux carrying 25,000MT urea arrived here at the Gwadar Port on Friday. According to a press release, another Vessel MV Great Mary from UAE carrying 25,000MT Urea will arrive by 22nd November, 2011. Two more vessels, MV MEDI LISBON from Bahrain and MV Dubai Ambassador from Qatar, carrying 45,000MT each, are expected to arrive within next few days.
The nomination of vessels for shipment of the balance imported urea has also been made. TCP is pursuing the suppliers to ensure completion of the shipments by mid December, 2011 to ease availability of fertilisers in the domestic market at the time of its requirement. The shipments are in response to TCP's two tenders opened on 28-10-2011 and 12-11-2011 for 260,000 MT and 440,000 MT respectively to various international suppliers.
TCP has informed M/s National Fertiliser Marketing about the arrival schedule of the vessels, to ensure prompt transportation and timely supply of the imported Urea to the farmers.-PR
