Pakistan blind cricket team scored thumping 71 runs win over visiting Indian side in the first T20 match here on Friday at Bagh-e-Jinnah ground. Home team now lead the three-match series 2-1. The second match will also be played at the same venue tomorrow Saturday. The home side put into bat by the opposition on a placid wicket piled up 213 for 9 in allotted 20 overs, putting the rival bowlers at sword.
The highlight of Pak innings was an enterprising knock of 89 from man of the match Mohammad Jamil including four fours for the entertainment of a big gathering which generously praised the performance and skills of blind cricketers. Masood Jan (46) and Mohammad Zafar (16) were the other notable scorers of Pak side.
Indian captain Shakhar took three wickets while four of Pak players were run out. Indian side fell cheaply at a score of 142 for 9 in allotted quota of overs with major contribution from Parkash 75 as four of their batsmen were run out due to superb fielding display on part of Pak blind cricketers. Mohammad Jamil put up all round performance, snapping up two wickets to claim the man of the match award. Manager, PCB, Domestic Shafiq Papa gave away the prizes to the players.
