Tabish, son of Taufiq Hussain, who was injured in an encounter with police here on Sunday morning died in Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center (JPMC). He was wanted in grenade attack at Saudi Consulate in May last. The deceased had received serious injuries in the encounter and was arrested by the Police from Rabia City, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, SSP Farooq Awan told APP.
The SSP said that accused Tabish and his accomplice identified as Zaki alias Kamran, were nominated in the grenade attack at Saudi Consulate in Karachi in May this year.
He said that the raid was conducted at Rabia City for his arrest on point of his accomplice Zaki alias Kamran. Tabish was arrested in critical condition because he had received bullets in his stomach and shifted to the hospital for treatment, he said. Farooq Awan said other accomplices of the accused namely Zaki alias Kamran, Muhammad Ali Kazmi and Mohsin are under custody.
