Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) formally announced on Sunday formation of its Central Executive Committee (CEC) with members drawn from Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Sindh. MQM chief Altaf Hussain had announced the decision to constitute a CEC of the party in March last, which was formally declared by Dr Farooq Sattar on Sunday at a press conference here at Lal Qila Ground, Azizabad.
Farooq Sattar, who was flanked by other members of MQM Coordination Committee, said the CEC comprises of members hailing from all the provinces, nationalities and minorities as well and that it would assist MQM Coordination Committee and the party in organisational matters, policy-making and manifesto issues.
