LAHORE: Former President of Pakistan and chief of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Pervez Musharraf announced to return Pakistan in January 2012.

While addressing a videoconference in Lahore from London, the former military ruler stated that the panacea for Pakistan's prevailing challenges didn't lie in undemocratic initiatives and incorporating military into politics would be very fatal for the country as well as for people of Pakistan.

Musharraf asserted that ISI and Pakistan armed forces are guarantee of Pakistan's solidarity and sovereignty, adding that some conspiring elements were making conspiracies through 'Memo matter' to defame ISI and Pakistan's security forces.

Commenting on the performance of PPP and PML-N in their erstwhile regimes, the APML chief said that both the leading political parties remained in power twice but delivered nothing to the masses except challenges and shortfalls.

APML Chief urged the people of Pakistan to cast their votes beyond the affiliations of caste and creed, linguistic, religious and provincial prejudices to steer the country from gulf of crisis and challenges.

Endorsing the demand of PTI Chief Imran Khan, Pervez Musharraf said, politicians should submit details of assets, added, " I will provide details of my assets on my arrival in Pakistan," Musharraf reiterated.

"I led Pakistan towards prosperity and economy stability during my regime and boosted the image of the country worldwide. I will soon among my countrymen and the elements who were airing allegations against me should gather evidences, as they proved neither a single corruption allegation against me," Musharraf added.

APML Secretary General Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, Punjab President Mian Zahid Sarfraz and Central Media Advisor Fawad Chaudary also spoke on the occasion.
