The Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of all district would work as project directors/ administrators to supervise and complete the development schemes in the districts as per new policy and needs, Business Recorder learnt on Tuesday. According to the sources in the Sindh government, Divisional Commissioners will monitor the development works in respective districts.
After revival of the Comissionerate System in the province, the Sindh government has posted DCs in all districts including five districts of Karachi. Now, the DCs will utilise funds under Account One and limit for DCs would use Rs 20 million funds. It was decided that the commissioners would be the head of Divisional Development Boards and the limit of Development funds for commissioners would be Rs 40 million, sources said. The Planning & Development (P & D) Department will monitor the schemes to be completed by commissioners in their respective divisions.
