Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar has said that the universities are the kind of institutions supposed to lead, guide and educate the nation as, how to face the confronting challenges. Addressing as chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of 2-day Digital Innovation Competition and Exhibition under the aegis of University of Engineering & Technology, at its campus here on Tuesday, the Governor said.
"It is the universities, which must provide solution to the problems confronting the nation". The event was participated by researchers and students of the universities from all over the country. The Governor said that modern civilisation owed its existence to man's innovative and imaginative propensities, which in turn leads to scientific and technological endeavours. "Engineers are justly termed the architects of all the glories that we witness today", he added and said that being part of the universal voyage of advancement, the engineers had the right to take pride in what they are doing. However, he added they should be mindful of the responsibilities they owe to the humanity.
Appreciating the holding of the event, the Governor described it a good initiative, which he added would certainly bring industry and academia closer together in the Province, triggering market for new technologies of the future.
