SBP Governor to open Microfinance Forum on December 2

Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Yaseen Anwer, will be inaugurating the 5th Pakistan Microfinance Country Forum 2011 organised by Shamrock Conferences International in collaboration with Mazars Asia, Singapore; Tameer Microfinance Bank and Khushhali Bank Limited, on December 2 at the Marriott Hotel.
The theme of the moot is "Stretching out to the Unreached" and will include case-study discussions and face-to-face deliberations on Stagnation in Industry - What is hampering growth; Stretching to Reach - Where will the funds come from?, and Financial literacy, human resources and scalability; including other critical issues and opportunities that form the crux of the microfinance industry in Pakistan.
Prominent practitioners who would be speaking and making presentations include, Nadeem Hussain, President and CEO, Microfinance Bank; Dr Abdul Wahab, Dean, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU); Dr Rashid Bajwa, Chairman, Pakistan Microfinance Network (PMN), Mudassar Aqil, President and CEO, Kashf Microfinance Bank and Cary Clark, Senior Advisor to Mazars Asia, Singapore.
The annual forum aims at gathering prominent experts, regulators, government officials, NGOs, academia, media and delegates from prestigious Pakistani and foreign Microfinance institutions. The day-long conference will include interactive discussions and debates in which eminent speakers and practitioners will examine current milestones and issues.-PR
