Khwaja Iqbal resigns from NIB Bank as chief, CEO

Khwaja Iqbal Hassan has submitted his resignation as the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NIB Bank Limited. According to an information sent to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) on Wednesday, the Board of Directors of NIB Bank has accepted his resignation, which shall become effective upon the consent of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) in line with the SBP's regulations.
Khawaja Iqbal Hassan will, however, continue to serve as a member of the Board of NIB. The Board of Directors noted the significant contribution made by Khawaja Iqbal Hassan as the founder of NIB Bank and his exemplary dedication to developing NIB Bank into a respected brand name in Pakistan. The Board of Directors of the bank has designated Aamir Zahidi, an existing director of the bank, as the interim President and Chief Executive Officer of NIB Bank effective from the date on which his appointment is approved by the SBP.
