Rates decline persists on grain market

Downward trend again witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Thursday as buyers remained on the sidelines most of the time expecting more decline in the rates, dealers said. On the cereal side masoor dal Canada slipped by Rs 200 to Rs 5800, urad Burma was quoted at Rs 2400, other items retained overnight levels, they said.
On the grams side, grams Australia No 1 lost Rs 100 to Rs 4400-4600, grams Australia No 1 dal followed same pattern and shed the same amount to Rs 5500-5700, grams 50x50 lost the same amount to Rs 5100-5300, yellow peas Canada shed Rs 50 to Rs 3800-4000, yellow peas Canada dal was down by Rs 100 to Rs 4400, yellow peas Ukraine fell by Rs 50 to Rs 3600-3800 and yellow peas Ukraine dal also dropped the same amount to Rs 4100-4300, they said.
On the rice sector Irri-6 Sindh low type fell by Rs 15 to Rs 3125 while the good type maintained overnight level at Rs 3225, other items retained the same levels, they said. On the seed sector, cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type retained Rs 950 level and best type gained Rs 50 to 1050, they said.
