Wassan vows stern action against criminals

Sindh Home Minister, Manzoor Hussain Wasan said that the government is taking initiatives to cope with the situation in Karachi and stern would be taken against the culprits. Talking to a private news channel, he said that different ethnic and sectarian groups are involved in robberies. Controlling such groups is not an easy task but the Rangers and police are trying to cope with those groups in a bid to restore peace of the city, he added.
He said that the private security guards provided to the banks might also be involved in such criminal activities. He furthered that the government is probing the incidents with different angles. To a question, he said that the government would also probe the incidents of alleged involvement of police and Rangers personnel in the acts of robberies. The culprits often used motorcycles for such subversive activities in the city. The government, while keeping the fact in the view, has banned pillion riding in the city for indefinite period, he added.
