Two persons gunned down in separate incidents

At least two persons were gunned down in separate incidents at various parts of metropolis on Saturday. According to police, a 32-year-old man, who was an employee in city court, was shot dead at Lines Area in the limits of Brigade police station.
The incident took place in Lines area where Waseem Sheikh, 32, son of Bahauddin Sheikh was targeted when he was on the way to meet his in-laws situated in Lines Area. Resultantly he received six bullets and died on the spot. Police said the victim, who was the resident of Nawab Colony Lasbella, might have been murdered. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities and later handed over to his family. No case was registered till filing of this report.
A 27-year-old man was fallen prey to targeted killing spree in Moinabad Landhi in the limits of Sharafi Goth police station. The incident took place on early Saturday, when the victim Zeeshan, 27, son of Zarnosh, who was on his bike, was assaulted by armed riders when he reached near Water Pump Street located in Moinabad Landhi. Resultantly he received several bullets and died on the spot. The body was shifted to JPMC for legal formalities. Police said the victim, who was the resident of Quaidabad area, was drug peddler. They said the victim was recently released from jail and added that a case 350/11 was registered against unidentified men on the complaint of victim's father.
