PML N and Q activists clash: seven injured

At least seven persons were injured as workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and PML-Q attacked each other with chairs and batons during PP-275 by-election in Yazman (Bahawalpur district). The clash took place between workers of PML-N and PML-Q outside Jhagra Government Elementry School, Chak No 108, after exchanging harsh words.
Activists of both the parties scuffled with each other extremely violently. The situation grew quite serious. Police and Rangers tried to settle the issue but nobody cared for them. Seven people injured including police personnel in the quarrel. PML-Q leader Tariq Bashir Cheema said that the unpleasant incident in the presence of law enforcement agencies is bullying. On the other side, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Khalid Mehmood Jajja blamed that Tariq Bashir Cheema was moving with weapons and he tried to forcibly enter in the poling station. The injured were shifted to hospital and situation is very tense in the area.
